For 30 years, Israeli music expert Josh Shron has hosted "Israel Hour Radio," a radio show and podcast about Israeli music. He's made it his mission to inspire English speakers to connect with Israel through the power of music - or as he puts it, "to build a stronger Israel, one song at a time." His powerful 2024 presentation, "A Musical Hug From Israel," has inspired audiences around the world.

Enjoy an evening of communal singing, Israeli style! It's well-known that singing has the power to heal us, physically, mentally, and emotionally. With all the problems facing the Jewish world, we can all use a "musical hug," can't we? Sing some of Israel's most beloved songs of all time, sharing music, healing, and camaraderie! With on-screen lyrics in Hebrew, English, and transliteration.

Booking Our Speakers

Weekday/Sunday programs are approximately one hour. Shabbat Scholar-in-Residence usually includes two talks, sometimes three.

Usually: The event price includes honorarium and all expenses, including international and domestic airfare and local expenses. We ask venues to provide home-hospitality for one night (for weekday/Sunday programs), or two nights (for Shabbat programs), or for multi-day programs, one night for each day of the event. If your venue is unable to provide home hospitality, an additional charge of $150 per night will be assessed to cover speaker expenses.
