Hindsight is 2020: Torah Lessons from a Turbulent Time
March, 2020: I embarked on a project of writing a daily Torah commentary, one for each aliyah of the weekly parsha. Taking a full year to complete the entire Torah cycle, it is both Torah and social commentary, reflecting the turbulent times in which it was written, and the pandemic overshadowing it all. I discuss the transformative experience of writing this work, published in November, 2023.

I Never Really Did Like Kool-Aid: My 50-Year Journey From Jesus to the Rabbinate
Listen to the story of my journey away from a Christian upbringing in search of a God I could believe in; that quest led to an 11-year involvement in a messianic doomsday cult, and ultimately to a discovery of Judaism, resulting in conversion. Dedication to study and synagogue involvement eventually led to rabbinic ordination following retirement. The story is both cautionary and inspirational.
