Programs

1
Should Jews Be Vegans, or at least Vegetarians?
The talk discusses how vegetarianism, and more so veganism, is most consistent with Jewish teachings on preserving our health, treating animals with compassion, protecting the environment, conserving natural resources, helping hungry people, and pursuing peace. It also discusses how shifts to veg diets can end the current epidemic of diseases, reduce climate change. and has many other benefits.
2
Can Applying Basic Jewish Values Prevent a Climate Catastrophe?
Applying basic Jewish teachings on compassion sharing, justice, peace, environmental sustainability, and others can help shift our imperiled planet onto a sustainable path. Best approach to averting a climate catastrophe is a society-wide shift to plant-based diets. This would sharply reduce cows emissions of methane, and also sharply reduce atmospheric CO2 through the planting of many trees.

Booking Our Speakers

Weekday/Sunday programs are approximately one hour. Shabbat Scholar-in-Residence usually includes two talks, sometimes three.

Usually: The event price includes honorarium and all expenses, including international and domestic airfare and local expenses. We ask venues to provide home-hospitality for one night (for weekday/Sunday programs), or two nights (for Shabbat programs), or for multi-day programs, one night for each day of the event. If your venue is unable to provide home hospitality, an additional charge of $150 per night will be assessed to cover speaker expenses.

Need a special program for Shavuot, Holocaust Remembrence Day, or July 4th? We have suggestions.
