Michael is a world renowned speaker, educator and storyteller who inspires and makes you laugh. His meaningful stories challenge audiences to think about important issues. Through his years of experience in Jewish, Israel & experiential education, his travel to all 7 continents, he addresses issues that matter to our community's future and how to engage the next generation of Jewish leaders.

Through several stories from some of the most remote and unlikely places on earth, Michael unlocks and describes the essence of being Jewish and explains how this can be translated into building stronger Jewish communities and what techniques can be used to make your community relevant and attractive to the next generation.

One of the fundamental challenges facing the Jewish community today is how to make it relevant and attractive to the next generation of Jewish leaders. MAPS AS NARRATIVES: WHAT IS MY MAP OF ISRAEL?
Join us for a guided exploration of the many maps of Israel and the stories they reveal. Maps are both essential tools in modern life and primary source documents reflecting the people, time, and cultures that produced them. The maps of Israel must be read with a discerning eye in order to understand the context they represent and to unveil the narratives they communicate.

THE POWER OF THE MARCH OF LIVING
Perhaps the most impactful & intense Jewish experiential education program offered, the March of the Living has transformed the way young Jewish & multi-cultural students look at the world and their obligation to it. At a time when the next generation is intrigued by Tikkun Olam learn how this experience can build on that desire by confronting the past & working towards repairing the world.

Booking Our Speakers

Weekday/Sunday programs are approximately one hour. Shabbat Scholar-in-Residence usually includes two talks, sometimes three.

Usually: The event price includes honorarium and all expenses, including international and domestic airfare and local expenses. We ask venues to provide home-hospitality for one night (for weekday/Sunday programs), or two nights (for Shabbat programs), or for multi-day programs, one night for each day of the event. If your venue is unable to provide home hospitality, an additional charge of $150 per night will be assessed to cover speaker expenses.
